Gio started Detail Guyz four years ago doing every car himself. The work outgrew one pair of hands, so rather than hire detailers and hope, he built a training process and put every technician through it.
Nobody touches a customer’s paint until they have worked through it with him. Wash technique comes first, because that is where most damage starts. Then decontamination, then reading a panel to know what the finish is actually doing. Machine work stays supervised until Gio is satisfied it will hold up in direct sun.
Detailing is a trade where shortcuts stay invisible for about six months, which is exactly why the standard has to be trained in rather than trusted to. Whoever pulls into your driveway works the same process and gives you the same answer about what your car needs.
Most days there is more than one van out. A wash on a driveway off Romeo Plank, a correction in the bay, an interior for a member who called the night before. That only works because everyone runs the same checklist and knows what the next step is without being told.
You will see them in Detail Guyz hoodies with the trailer parked behind them, bringing their own water, power and lighting. They will walk you around the car before they leave and show you what changed, panel by panel, under a light that actually reveals it.
If something is not right, say so while they are still there. Fixing it on the spot is part of the job, and it is the fastest way for us to keep getting it right on the next car.
